Downs View is an Outstanding SEN Specialism (communication & interaction) school & college for pupils aged 2 to 25 years.
It is an exciting time for Downs View as, following the retirement of the current Head Teacher, there will be a new Head Teacher. It is exciting for the organisation as September 2020 sees the geographical merge of the Woodingdean and Hollingdean school sites and the opening of the new extended school in Woodingdean.

From September 2020, Downs View will have 3 sites:
Downs View School in Woodingdean is currently being extended and refurbished to enable all school age (2 to 16 age pupils) to come together onto one site in September 2020. Downs View School in Woodingdean will become a site able to accommodate up to 155 pupils with SLD, PMLD, ASC and Complex needs.
Downs View Life Skills College is independent of the local authority but is part of the broader Downs View organisation. Our aim is to create outstanding provision for adult learners with a range of needs but fundamentally concentrating on those with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound & multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and SLD with autism.
